Prices and specifications change, and ours can be out of date

Electric vehicle prices in India move frequently. Manufacturers revise ex-showroom prices, introduce and withdraw variants, change warranty terms, and adjust specifications mid-cycle. Central and state incentives change too, sometimes with little notice and sometimes with allocations that exhaust before an announced end date.

Every price, range figure, specification and subsidy amount on this site was accurate to the best of our knowledge on the date stated in the article. It may not be accurate today.

Always confirm the current price, on-road cost, variant availability, warranty terms and applicable subsidy with an authorised dealer or the manufacturer before you make a purchase decision or a payment. We cannot be held responsible for a decision made on a figure that has since changed.

Range and efficiency figures

Claimed range figures quoted on this site, including IDC, MIDC, ARAI and WLTP numbers, are test-cycle results published by manufacturers or certifying bodies. They are measured under controlled conditions that do not resemble Indian road use.

Real-world range is routinely 25 to 35 per cent below the claimed figure, and can be worse in heavy traffic, on hills, at sustained high speed, with a full passenger load, or with air conditioning running continuously. Where we give a real-world estimate, it is an estimate. Your results will differ.

Indian EV incentives operate at both central and state level, change frequently, and often carry eligibility conditions that are not visible in headline announcements. Scheme allocations can be exhausted before the published closing date, which has already happened in the two-wheeler segment.

Treat every subsidy figure here as a starting point for your own check with the relevant authority or dealer, not as a guarantee of what you will receive.
