EV Auto India publishes research, analysis and buying guidance on electric vehicles in India. This page sets out how our work is produced, what standards it is held to, and how to challenge it when we get something wrong.

Who is responsible for what we publish

Editorial responsibility sits with Piyush P. Yadav, who reviews and approves every article before publication. Questions about any piece should go to hello@evautoindia.co.in and will reach the person accountable for it.

How we use AI, stated plainly

We use AI tools to assist with research, structuring and drafting. We think readers are entitled to know that rather than having to guess, so we are saying it here rather than burying it.

What that does and does not mean:

  • AI assists. It does not decide what is true. Every factual claim in an article traces to a named external source that a human can open and check.
  • Figures are verified against primary sources wherever one exists, meaning a manufacturer’s own announcement, a government notification, or a regulator’s published data, in preference to another publication’s summary of it.
  • Nothing is published unreviewed. An article that cannot be sourced does not run.
  • We do not publish to fill a schedule. If there is nothing worth saying on a topic on a given day, we do not say anything.

Our sourcing standard

Every article carries a “Sources & Further Reading” section listing the external sources used, linked directly so you can check our work against the original rather than taking our word for it.

We rank sources in this order:

  1. Government notifications, ministry press releases and regulator data.
  2. Manufacturer press releases, investor disclosures and official product pages.
  3. Established automotive and business publications reporting first-hand.
  4. Aggregators and secondary coverage, used only to locate a primary source.

Where a figure is claimed by a manufacturer rather than independently measured, we say so. Range figures are a common example: we distinguish test-cycle claims such as IDC, MIDC and ARAI from realistic on-road expectations, because the gap between them routinely exceeds 30 per cent and buyers are misled by the difference.

What we will not do

  • We do not invent specifications, prices or dates. If a number cannot be verified, it is left out rather than estimated and presented as fact.
  • We do not accept payment for coverage or for a favourable verdict. Advertising and commercial partnerships have no influence on editorial conclusions. See our Disclaimer for how commercial relationships are handled.
  • We do not republish manufacturer marketing as reporting. A press release is a source, not an article.
  • We do not use images we are not licensed to use. Article images come from sources that permit commercial reuse, primarily Wikimedia Commons under CC0, public domain, CC BY or CC BY-SA licences. Each carries a visible credit naming the photographer and licence.

Corrections

We will correct factual errors promptly and visibly. Prices, subsidies and policy rules in India change frequently, and an article that was accurate when published can become wrong within weeks.

If you believe something we have published is inaccurate, write to hello@evautoindia.co.in with the article URL and the specific claim you are disputing. If you can point to a source, please include it. We will check it, and where we are wrong we will amend the article and note what changed.

Substantive corrections are marked in the article itself. We do not quietly edit a claim out and pretend it was never there.

Independence and conflicts

EV Auto India is independently operated and is not owned by, funded by, or affiliated with any vehicle manufacturer, dealer group, charging network or energy company. Where an article discusses an organisation we have a commercial relationship with, that relationship is disclosed in the article.

Scope and limits of our advice

We publish analysis and comparison intended to help you ask better questions. We do not provide personalised financial, legal, tax or purchase advice, and nothing on this site should be treated as a recommendation tailored to your circumstances. Verify prices, subsidies, warranty terms and availability with the manufacturer or dealer before you commit money.

Publishing cadence

We publish selectively rather than continuously. We would rather run two well-sourced pieces in a week than eight thin ones, and we would rather publish nothing on a quiet day than repeat something we have already covered.
