Road Tax & Registration

100% waiver on road tax and registration fees under the Delhi EV Policy 2026 ("EV Policy 2.0"), effective July 1, 2026 through March 31, 2030. For four-wheelers, the exemption applies only to battery EVs priced up to Rs 30 lakh ex-showroom. Two-wheelers get full exemption with no price cap identified.

Purchase Subsidy

No direct per-kWh purchase subsidy under the 2026 policy. Instead, Delhi offers a scrappage incentive: Rs 10,000 for scrapping an old BS-IV-or-below two-wheeler when buying an EV, and up to Rs 1 lakh scrappage incentive for four-wheelers under the same condition.

Other Incentives

• Hybrid vehicles are explicitly excluded from state support — the policy is BEV-only.
• An earlier draft's proposed 50% tax concession for strong hybrids under Rs 30 lakh was dropped from the final Cabinet-approved version.
