About
Piyush P. Yadav has spent over a decade and a half inside India's automobile industry. He started at Maruti Suzuki on the Swift and Dzire weld and assembly lines in Gurugram, spent five years at Toyota Kirloskar Motor in Bidadi as a certified Toyota Production System trainer running the Innova and Fortuner body shop and trim lines, and most recently led manufacturing operations at Royal Enfield's Chennai plant, where he took the Hunter 350 from prototype to start of production and ran a 200-member assembly team across three shifts.
He founded EV Auto India to apply that shop-floor and supply-chain experience to the questions Indian EV buyers actually face: what a vehicle really costs to own, which policy deadlines matter, how battery warranties and degradation work in Indian conditions, and where the charging network is headed. Every article is researched from primary sources — government notifications, manufacturer filings and press releases, and regulator data — and each one lists the sources it draws on.
Piyush holds a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from YMCA Institute of Engineering, Faridabad (now J.C. Bose University), a Six Sigma Green Belt from the Indian Statistical Institute, Bangalore, and completed the Advanced Manufacturing Leadership Program at IIM Kozhikode. He completed the EV & Battery Technology Fundamentals programme at ARAI Academy in 2023. He has spoken at SIAT (Symposium on International Automotive Technology) and has been quoted in Autocar Professional and ETAuto on two-wheeler manufacturing and supply-chain trends. He lives in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, and rides a Royal Enfield Himalayan when he is not writing.
